Amazing review of mri physics for radiologists. mri physics books are usually so hard to read and even more difficult to understand the clinical relevance. this has a page or 2 of dense physics at the beginning of each chapter then numerous clinical imaging cases emphasizing how the mri physics you just learned changes real clinical images and why it is important for you as the radiologist to /5(22).
First and foremost, this is a US authored book, so whilst I was really pleased to be reading a short and concise history of MRI at the start of the book, this quickly turned into a short history of MRI review testing very firmly set in the US, which was less useful/5(64).
"This is a great tool that MRI technologists could use as a trial run for the examination. This is the best type of review book, since it mimics the format of the actual exam.
It also would be helpful for seasoned MRI technologists who want to remain fresh in this ever-advancing field." (Doody's, 5 July ) From the Publisher2/5(2).
“Clinical Magnetic Resonance Imaging” by Edelman, Hesselink and Zlatkin. Three volumes featuring a good mixture of technique and use.
Not an intro, but a good follow-up (according to people who have read it. I haven’t). ‘Magnetic Resonance Imaging – Physical Principles and Sequence Design” Current review of MRI book Haacke, Brown, Thompson and Venkantesan. Clinical MRI, a book with pages, devotes pages to the brain, to the spine, and 53 to the head and neck.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a medical imaging technique used in radiology to form pictures of the anatomy and the physiological processes of the body.
MRI scanners use strong magnetic fields, magnetic field gradients, and radio waves to generate images of the organs in the body. MRI does not involve X-rays or the use of ionizing radiation, which distinguishes it from CT and PET : Diffusion MRI remains the most comprehensive reference for understanding this rapidly evolving and powerful technology and is an essential handbook for designing, analyzing, and interpreting diffusion MR experiments.
Diffusion imaging provides a unique window on human brain anatomy. MRI of the Brain. Normal Anatomy and Normal Variants. Edited bypatel and friedman.
